Ο Σταύρος Ζώρας, ήταν Έλληνας μουσικόςτραγουδιστής και στιχουργός. Γεννήθηκε στο Νοβορωσίσκ της Ρωσίας το 1941 .Έγινε πολύ γνωστός κατά τη δεκαετία του ’70, χάρις στα κομμάτια του “Εσένα που σε ξέρω τόσο λίγο“, “Μήπως“, “Είναι αργά” και “Σε ευχαριστώ“. Πέθανε στις 23 Απριλίου του 2011 από καρκίνο του παχέος εντέρου. Είχε δύο κόρες, οι οποίες είναι, επίσης, τραγουδίστριες: την Έρη και τη Λιούμπα.

Στην κορυφή του Billboard 200 βρίσκονται οι Pink Floyd με το άλμπουμ τους …..

1994 … Μια ακόμη χρονιά σταθμός για τους Pink Floyd. Στην κορυφή του Billboard 200 βρίσκονται με το άλμπουμ τους “The Division Bell“. Είναι το δωδέκατο και τελευταίο άλμπουμ του συγκροτήματος και κυκλοφόρησε στις 28 Μαρτίου του 1994. Το άλμπουμ γράφτηκε κυρίως από τον κιθαρίστα David Gilmour και τον πιανίστα Richard Wright. Μπορεί να έφτασε στο Νο1 των charts σε Αμερική και Βρετανία, όμως απέσπασε μέτριες κριτικές. Είναι το δεύτερο άλμπουμ του συγκροτήματος χωρίς τον μπασίστα Roger Waters. Το τραγούδι “Marooned” κέρδισε το μοναδικό βραβείο Grammy στην ιστορία του συγκροτήματος, το “Best Rock Instrumental Performance“.

Ο Ουαλός τραγουδιστής, τραγουδοποιός και μέλος του rock συγκροτήματος Badfinger, Pete Ham (Peter William Ham 1947-1975) βρέθηκε κρεμασμένος στο γκαράζ του σπιτιού του στο Λονδίνο σε ηλικία 27 ετών στις 23 Απριλίου το 1975. Στην αυτοκτονία τον οδήγησε η απογοήτευση που πήρε από την πορεία της καριέρας του. Μεγάλη του επιτυχία, το τραγούδι-μπαλάντα “Without You” που έγραψε με τον μπασίστα Tom Evans. Ο Paul McCartney, αναφερόμενος στο τραγούδι, το είχε χαρακτηρίσει: “…the killer song of all time”.  Έχει τραγουδηθεί από καλλιτέχνες όπως Harry Nilsson, Mariah Carey κ.α.

Το 1936 στις 23 Απριλίου ο Αμερικανός τραγουδιστής, τραγουδοποιός και μουσικός Roy Orbison (Roy Kelton Orbison 1936-1988) γεννήθηκε στο Βερνόν του Τέξας. Από πολύ μικρή ηλικία άρχισε να γράφει τραγούδια και την δεκαετία του ’60, εικοσιδύο από αυτά ανέβηκαν στο top 40 του Billboard. Το 1988 μαζί με τους George Harrison, Bob Dylan, Tom Petty και Jeff Lynne δημιούργησαν το supergroup The Traveling Wilburys. Την ίδια χρονιά ηχογράφησε και το τελευταίο σόλο άλμπουμ του με τίτλο “Mystery Girl” λίγο πριν το θάνατό του το Δεκέμβριο. Μεγάλη επιτυχία του άλμπουμ το τραγούδι “You Got It” το οποίο έγραψε μαζί με τους Tom Petty και Jeff Lynne. Δημοφιλή τραγούδια του: “Only the Lonely“, “Crying“, “In Dreams“, “Oh, Pretty Woman“, “You Got It” κ.α. Το 1987 το όνομα του γράφτηκε στο Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
